We enjoyed your lovely cottage. It was our 6th visit to SXM and our 3rd in Oyster Pond. Thank you again.
This is our second stay at Hope Cottage. We love this place so much. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hope Cottage. This is our sixth visit to St Martin and first stay at Hope Cottage. The views and gentle breezes were amazing. It is great to see the island rebounding from Irma. We always leave part of our hearts in St. Martin.
We had a wonderful time. Thank you.
Once again an amazing vacation has been enjoyed on this beautiful island. Hope Cottage has definitely contributed to the aura of relaxation!! Being Canadians, we are used to cold water- we have named our pond at home “Dick Withers” so feel right at home in the pool here!?!
Today we are leaving beautiful Hope Cottage. We had a great time here and will miss having breakfasts overlooking the magnificent views of Oyster Pons snd St. Barths. This property would not be the same without Vernice and Jean. They take care of everything! Looking at the devastation still visible throughout the island after Irma, really heightens the care the landlord must have put to keep this place as nice as it is. We tried Bistrot Caraibes in Grand Case and loved it! Of course, the fresh baguettes at Bread & Butter (Oyster Pond) will transform any breakfast into a delicious experience. If you are looking for adventure, take a flight to Saba and hike Mt. Scenery.
John – My father was born on the neighboring island of Saba in Hope Cottage, thus the villa’s name although it can hardly be described as a cottage despite its having just one bedroom. I thought that it would be nice to have access to a vacation home readily accessible to New England, Eastern Canada, England and France. Now that I am retired, we try to take two annual vacations in Hope Cottage, six weeks in the summer and six weeks before Sint Maarten’s High Season.
Susan – I was born in the UK and married John in 1973. We designed Hope Cottage as a vacation getaway readily accessible from the south of France where my daughter lives. Now that we are retired, I love our visits to Hope Cottage, during the summer when I get to spend quality time with my daughter and in the autumn when I can entertain our Dutch friends with an American Thanksgiving dinner for twelve…not bad for a microwave/convection oven.
Joelle – I was born in the south of France and live just south of Grasse, famed for its perfumes with my two children, Lloyd and Lula, also born in France. I really look forward to my annual visit with my family in Hope Cottage especially with my new bathroom, which is really cool. Summer is so nice on the island.
